Job Description

A mission-driven biotech company is seeking a driven and science-savvy Technical Sales Advisor to join their growing team in Cambridge, MA. This role is perfect for someone with a background in life sciences and a passion for consultative selling. You’ll play a key role in managing inbound leads, building new client relationships, attending industry events, and providing product guidance to customers in academia, biotech, and pharma.

Technical Sales Advisor Responsibilities:

  • Manage inbound sales inquiries via email, phone, and website chat
  • Qualify leads and maintain detailed records in the CRM
  • Conduct outreach to prospective customers using publications, LinkedIn, and CRM-generated lists
  • Schedule and lead virtual or in-person meetings with new and existing clients
  • Prepare quotes, respond to product questions, and follow up to close deals
  • Represent the company at scientific conferences across the U.S.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support client needs and ensure a seamless sales process
  • Meet or exceed quarterly revenue targets and KPIs

Technical Sales Advisor Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences
  • At least 1+ year of experience in sales, business development, or customer-facing role in life sciences, biotech, or technology
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Tech-savvy and comfortable using CRM tools
  • Motivated, organized, and eager to learn a broad range of scientific products
  • Master’s or PhD in a life sciences field is a plus
  • Experience with lead generation and email outreach strategies is preferred
