Job Description

A dynamic and rapidly growing textile manufacturing company is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to join its leadership team. The CFO will work closely with the VP of Finance and oversee a team of accounting professionals. This hands-on leader will be responsible for financial planning, reporting, controls, cost accounting, and strategic financial analysis to drive efficiency and improve profitability. This role is ideal for a proactive communicator and data-driven decision-maker with a strong foundation in cost accounting and team leadership.

They are looking for a collaborative, sharp, and experienced professional who thrives in fast-paced, blue-collar environments and can translate complex numbers into clear, actionable insights.

CFO Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the VP of Finance and executive team to support strategic initiatives and financial planning
  • Oversee all accounting operations, including AP, AR, payroll, and general ledger functions
  • Analyze financial data and operational performance to identify inefficiencies and margin issues
  • Monitor inventory levels and flag discrepancies or concerns
  • Manage internal controls, risk mitigation, and budgeting processes
  • Serve as liaison for external auditors, banks, and internal stakeholders
  • Ensure GAAP compliance and regulatory adherence
  • Lead cost accounting initiatives to improve manufacturing site
  • Conduct internal audits and oversee reporting, forecasting, and compliance
  • Integrate new operations into accounting systems and ensure financial accuracy
  • Develop, implement, and maintain efficient financial systems and processes

CFO Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 5–10 years of accounting leadership experience
  • Strong cost accounting expertise
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 Suite; experience with JOMAR, QuickBooks, or similar ERP systems
  • Solid knowledge of GAAP and treasury functions
  • Exceptional financial analysis, reporting, and team management skills
  • Comfortable in a casual, high-energy, blue-collar environment
  • Excellent communication skills; able to translate complex financials to non-finance stakeholders
  • Experience in a multi-division company or textile manufacturing a major plus
