Job Description
This growing, community-focused retail organization is seeking a District Manager to lead multiple store locations and drive team performance, operational excellence, and sales growth across the region. This role is responsible for driving sales performance, coaching store managers, and building a positive, performance-driven culture. The District Manager will spend the majority of their time onsite within stores, providing hands-on leadership and developing their teams to achieve operational excellence and business goals. The ideal candidate is a people-first leader with a passion for coaching, team development, and driving results through others.
District Manager Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day leadership and coaching to store managers and their teams
- Support and develop store managers to improve leadership skills, sales performance, and operational processes
- Conduct regular in-store visits with a focus on observation, feedback, and coaching
- Collaborate with store managers to drive business outcomes while fostering independent decision-making at the store level
- Create and maintain a positive and engaging team culture across all locations
- Ensure alignment with company processes, values, and goals
- Lead performance management efforts including talent development and, when necessary, talent replacement
- Manage travel schedule independently while ensuring regular visits to all stores in the district
- Utilize company CRM system for tracking customer and store data
- Partner with senior leadership on district strategy and business improvements
District Manager Requirements:
- 2+ years of multi-unit leadership experience as a District Manager or equivalent with at least 3 direct reports
- Experience leading brick-and-mortar retail or customer-facing locations
- Proven track record of developing talent and driving business performance through people
- Strong coaching and leadership skills with the ability to influence and guide store managers
- Clean driver’s license
- Willingness to work onsite within stores daily and travel across assigned district
- Strong tenure and demonstrated ability to build culture and drive long-term success
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
- Passion for helping people and creating positive customer and employee experiences
- High level of drive and motivation to win through team success
