A mission-driven nonprofit is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Loan Closer to lead the SBA 504 commercial loan closing process. This critical role is responsible for reviewing loan authorizations, compiling and preparing complex legal and financial documents, and coordinating all aspects of the closing process to ensure compliance with SBA regulations. As the lead closer, you will work closely with lenders, borrowers, attorneys, title companies, and the team to ensure smooth and timely transactions.

Senior Loan Closer Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the SBA 504 loan closing process from start to finish
• Review SBA loan authorizations and ensure compliance with all SBA guidelines
• Collect, organize, and verify documentation from borrowers, attorneys, title companies, insurance providers, and more
• Prepare detailed closing packages and schedule loan closings
• Coordinate with loan officers on changes to loan structure or documentation
• Ensure accurate and timely communication with all stakeholders
• Finalize closings and submit documentation to SBA, attorneys, and servicing agents
• Provide mentorship and support to the Closing Assistant and cross-train other team members
• Maintain expert-level knowledge of SBA 504 and 7(a) lending guidelines

Senior Loan Closer Requirements:

• 8+ years in a professional office setting, with experience in commercial lending, title, or as a paralegal
• Proven experience managing loan closings or complex legal documentation processes
• Exceptional organizational and communication skills
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to client sites as needed
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field is preferred
• Paralegal certificate is a plus
• Familiarity with SBA 504 or 7(a) loans
