A dedicated full-service personal injury law firm in St Joseph, MI is seeking two Associate Attorneys to join their team, focusing on Plaintiff Personal Injury and Workers’ Compensation cases. This role involves handling a variety of legal tasks, including litigation, court appearances, legal research, and client advocacy. The ideal candidate will be passionate about representing individuals and committed to providing high-quality legal services.

Associate Attorney Responsibilities: 

• Handle workers’ compensation and personal injury cases from inception to resolution
• Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, and prepare legal documents
• Attend court hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials
• Participate in case strategy meetings and collaborate with senior attorneys
• Conduct client consultations and provide legal guidance
• Manage discovery, including document review and interrogatories
• Investigate claims, gather evidence, and interview witnesses
• Assist with settlement negotiations and trial preparation
• Maintain case files and manage deadlines
• Participate in weekly firm meetings discussing legal issues, marketing, and operations

Associate Attorney Requirements: 

• Must be barred in Michigan
• Litigation experience, including clerkships, is preferred
• 1-5 years of experience in personal injury and/or workers’ compensation is preferred
• Experience in plaintiff or defense work, with a commitment to advocating for clients
• Background in Social Security disability law is a plus
• Strong research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
• Willingness to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment
