Job Description

A luxury watch brand is seeking a hands-on, detail-driven Full Charge Accountant to join their growing team in Stamford, CT. This is a high-impact role responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company’s financial operations, including AR/AP, budgeting, forecasting, payroll, and expense management. As the sole member of the accounting function, this person will be essential in shaping future financial systems and processes.

Full Charge Accountant Responsibilities:

  • Own all day-to-day accounting operations including AR/AP, general ledger, and reconciliations
  • Oversee payroll processing for a complex commission-based sales team
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
  • Process employee expenses and ensure timely and accurate reporting
  • Evaluate creditworthiness of retail partners before sales are finalized
  • Guide the selection and implementation of a new ERP/accounting system
  • Support global sales operations, including basic currency conversions
  • Provide financial insights to leadership and assist in strategic planning
  • Act as a reliable business partner across teams to support growth initiatives

Full Charge Accountant Requirements:

  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • Experience managing or running a company’s full-cycle accounting functions
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field strongly preferred
  • Comfortable with daily accounting tasks
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of processes
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and interest in leading a software transition
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset
