A well-established manufacturing company in Troy, Michigan is seeking an Accounting Specialist to support daily accounting operations and financial processes in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This role will be responsible for day-to-day accounting functions, including invoicing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and managing purchase orders. The Accounting Specialist will work closely with the CFO and President to support accurate financial processes and reporting. They are looking for a reliable and organized candidate who thrives in a hands-on role and enjoys working in a close-knit team environment. 

Accounting Specialist Responsibilities: 

• Enter daily invoices (8-20 per day) 
• Process customer invoicing 
• Manage accounts receivable, including ACH, checks, and cash payments 
• Manage accounts payable, including issuing ACH and checks 
• Handle purchase orders and billing 
• Utilize QuickBooks Online for accounting tasks 
• Support general accounting functions and financial reporting 
• Collaborate with internal team members for financial accuracy 
• Maintain organized records and ensure timely processing of transactions 

Accounting Specialist Requirements: 

• 2-3 years of accounting experience 
• High school diploma or equivalent 
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online 
• Experience using Microsoft Word 
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail 
• Reliable and punctual work habits 
• Ability to handle accounting volume efficiently 
• Experience in a manufacturing or automotive environment preferred 
• Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
