A thriving landscaping company is seeking a seasoned Lawn Maintenance Manager to lead and supervise 10+ lawn care crews across properties in Manatee, Sarasota, and Charlotte Counties. This is a hands-on leadership role overseeing scheduling, performance, quality control, proposals, and communication with HOA representatives. You’ll be the face of the maintenance division, ensuring excellence in service delivery and crew execution. They are looking for a proactive, organized leader with deep Florida plant knowledge, pest/disease expertise, and the ability to manage multiple crews in a dynamic field environment.
Lawn Maintenance Manager Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise 10 lawn maintenance crews, each with 3–10 team members
- Oversee crew foremen and ensure schedules are executed efficiently
- Direct irrigation service technicians on projects with lawn care scope
- Maintain and update production schedule using Outlook
- Order and manage lawn care products and supplies
- Submit soil and tissue samples for lab analysis
- Troubleshoot equipment repair issues and coordinate with repair teams
- Respond to HOA work requests, attend monthly HOA meetings
- Prepare proposals for commercial maintenance services
- Support onboarding and assist new hires with paperwork
- Attend weekly staff meetings and serve as a liaison between field and office
Lawn Maintenance Manager Requirements:
- 5+ years in a similar leadership role within the lawn maintenance or landscaping industry
- Strong knowledge of Florida plants, turf diseases, and fertilization/pest management BMPs
- Certified Pest Operator or equivalent knowledge and experience preferred
- Familiarity with Hunter and Rainbird irrigation systems and controller programming
- Strong understanding of commercial landscape equipment operation and repair
- Experience with Outlook and Excel; must be comfortable writing proposals and using MS Office tools
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid Florida driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Spanish-speaking preferred
