We’re seeking a high-performing Sales Manager to lead and scale our internal Account Management team. This is a key leadership position designed for a seasoned staffing pro and top biller who is ready to step into true team leadership, drive performance, and take full ownership of growth across the board.

You’ll be in charge of building your own team, coaching them to success, and jumping in on high-value deals when it counts. This is not a behind-the-scenes role—it’s hands-on, fast-moving, and results-focused. You’ll be the one driving strategy, sales performance, and accountability across a division that is critical to BTQ’s continued expansion.

Salary Range: Up to $125,000 / year DOE + bonus incentive

Responsibilities:

  • Lead, manage, and coach all incoming Account Managers (AMs)—they will report directly to you
  • Build, grow, and scale the Account Management team from the ground up
  • Deliver hands-on training in advanced sales strategies including NLP and other proven methodologies
  • Monitor individual and team performance metrics, ensuring achievement of monthly and quarterly goals
  • Step in on key accounts and active deals to support, close, and retain business as needed
  • Collaborate with recruiting, marketing, and leadership teams to drive client delivery and internal alignment
  • Create and implement performance improvement plans, sales contests, and incentive programs
  • Develop and refine processes to increase client satisfaction, team productivity, and sales efficiency
  • Act as a strategic advisor to both internal team members and high-value clients
  • Stay on top of staffing trends, sales techniques, and competitive insights to keep BTQ ahead of the curve

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of consistent top production in a staffing or recruiting firm
  • Prior experience leading or mentoring high-performing sales or account management teams
  • Proven success saving deals, navigating client objections, and managing complex sales cycles
  • Formal training in NLP-based selling or comparable advanced sales methodologies
  • Strong ability to coach, influence, and hold others accountable in a positive and motivating way
  • Deep understanding of client relationships, recruiting workflows, and candidate delivery
  • Based in San Diego or willing to relocate (relocation support is available)
  • High emotional intelligence, excellent communication skills, and executive presence
  • Fast-paced, proactive, and focused on execution—someone who leads by example
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required
