Job Description
A well-established and growing law firm is seeking a Partner to join its team in a hybrid capacity, with in-office work required two days per week. The firm has offices in multiple major cities and is open to candidates in those locations. This role offers the opportunity to work independently while leveraging firm resources, associates, and support staff. The ideal candidate is an experienced attorney with a strong book of business, particularly in M&A, venture capital, equity financing, and general corporate law. The firm values professionals who can thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and who are motivated to grow their practice.
Salary Range: $350,000 – $400,000 / year DOE
Partner Responsibilities:
- Manage and grow an existing book of business within M&A, venture capital, and general corporate law
- Work closely with clients on complex transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, and financing agreements
- Collaborate with other partners, associates, and support staff to execute deals efficiently
- Provide strategic counsel to clients in various industries, particularly in tech and life sciences
- Attend networking and industry events to develop new business opportunities
- Maintain a high standard of client service and advocacy
- Oversee and mentor junior attorneys and associates as needed
Partner Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in corporate law, with flexibility for candidates with 6-8 years, and a strong book of business
- Minimum of $1M in business within M&A, venture capital, or corporate transactions
- Proven track record of maintaining a book of business at this level for the past three years
- Licensed to practice law in the state of residence
- Background in tech and life sciences preferred
- Experience in a small, mid, or large firm, with a preference for candidates who can bring a team
- Strong business development and client management skills
