A trusted name in the construction industry is seeking a dedicated Inside Sales Representative to join their team. This role focuses on B2B sales, primarily working with general contractors and construction companies on high-end tenant improvement projects. The ideal candidate will be comfortable handling technical product inquiries, reading structural diagrams and plans, and providing accurate quotes and estimates to clients. This position requires a proactive, customer-focused individual who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Salary Range: $70,000 – $75,000 / year DOE

Inside Sales Representative Responsibilities:

• Engage in inside sales, primarily supporting general contractors and construction businesses
• Handle incoming customer calls and proactively follow up on leads and open orders
• Provide technical product guidance, ensuring clients receive the right materials for their projects
• Generate quotes and estimates using industry software
• Assist customers in understanding their product needs and help guide them through the sales process
• Maintain weekly order tracking and follow-ups to ensure smooth operations
• Support warehouse operations as needed, including answering phones, working the counter, or operating a forklift when necessary
• Contribute to a team-oriented culture, helping manage customer relationships with a high-touch service approach

Inside Sales Representative Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience in construction, millwork, or a related industry
• Strong understanding of construction materials, takeoffs, and structural diagrams
• Excellent phone presence and customer service skills
• Ability to read blueprints and ask technical questions to ensure accurate quoting
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with shifting priorities
• Willing to assist with various tasks as needed
• Experience using Epicor or similar ERP systems is preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is a plus
