A leading general contractor specializing in multi-family renovations, hospitality spaces, and commercial construction is looking for a Bilingual Senior Estimator in Carlsbad, CA. Salary Range: $120,000 – $150,000 / year DOE

Bilingual Senior Estimator Responsibilities:

• Review RFPs, prioritize bid requests, and determine feasibility based on project deadlines, scope, and available resources
• Analyze project drawings, technical specifications, and contract documents to create detailed, competitive cost estimates
• Calculate material quantities, factoring in measurements, density, and construction methods to ensure accuracy and efficiency
• Source, negotiate, and review subcontractor and supplier proposals, ensuring alignment with scope, timeline, and pricing standards
• Conduct site visits to assess project conditions, identify risks, and verify that all scope elements are accurately reflected in the estimate
• Collaborate closely with project management to clarify budget discrepancies, refine estimates, and ensure smooth project execution
• Track industry trends and competitor pricing to maintain competitive advantage and optimize cost-efficiency on projects

Bilingual Senior Estimator Requirements:

• Strong ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and project documents
• Experience in multi-family renovations, student housing, or hospitality-related construction
• Conversational Spanish required due to frequent subcontractor communication
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and estimating software such as Bluebeam
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present cost estimates effectively
• Bachelor’s degree in construction estimating, engineering, or a related field preferred, but equivalent experience considered
