A reputable legal firm is seeking an experienced Paralegal to join its team in Encino, CA. This is a full-time, on-site role with the potential for a hybrid schedule after an initial training period. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of Workers’ Compensation defense experience and a Paralegal certificate. This role will support attorneys with billable tasks such as drafting legal documents, preparing exhibits, and managing pre-trial conference statements. They are looking for a proactive, detail-oriented, and personable professional who can work independently while collaborating with the legal team.

Salary Range: $75,000 – $85,000 / year DOE

Paralegal Responsibilities:

• Provide direct support to 1-2 attorneys, with the potential to expand responsibilities
• Draft and format legal documents, including pre-trial conference statements and correspondence
• Prepare exhibits and assist with case preparation
• Review and take action on mail items, drafting responses as needed
• Identify and suggest additional billable tasks to enhance case efficiency

Paralegal Requirements:

• 3+ years of Workers’ Compensation defense experience
• Paralegal certificate required
• Proficiency in MS Outlook and Merris case management software
• Strong legal drafting and formatting skills
• Ability to work independently and take initiative in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
