A thriving and stable construction company in Macon, GA, is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Superintendent. This role is pivotal in ensuring the successful execution of ground-up construction projects from start to finish. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with project managers, subcontractors, and tradespeople to maintain project timelines, budgets, and quality standards. Assistant Superintendent Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary onsite representative for assigned projects, ensuring day-to-day operations run smoothly
• Conduct safety inspections, owner walks, and coordination meetings with subcontractors and tradespeople
• Assist with scheduling, coordination, and documentation, including RFIs, submittals, and material monitoring
• Foster strong communication and accountability across project teams to maintain milestones and project deliverables
• Collaborate with the project manager on upcoming schedules, resolving challenges, and ensuring site safety
• Monitor and manage construction scopes, including concrete, steel, and woodwork
• Proactively identify and resolve project issues, maintaining a high standard of quality

Assistant Superintendent Requirements:

• Minimum 2+ years as an Assistant Superintendent with a general contractor specializing in ground-up commercial construction
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
• Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, and P6 is a plus
• Familiarity with concrete, steel, and wood construction. GSFIC project experience is a bonus
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or a related field is preferred but not required if offset by solid experience
• Strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills with a collaborative mindset
