A premier legal services firm is seeking an experienced Legal Assistant to join their team in Los Angeles. This role requires a highly organized and proactive professional with trial experience, capable of handling complex commercial civil litigation cases from document production to final filings. The Legal Assistant will support a team of attorneys specializing in complex insurance coverage and will play a crucial role in high-stakes, multi-million dollar trials. The ideal candidate has at least 5-10+ years of litigation experience, has been through a minimum of two trials, and is a team player who takes initiative in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Salary Range: $80,000 – $100,000 / year DOE

Legal Assistant Responsibilities:

• Provide litigation support from trial preparation to final filings
• Handle document production, including labeling, assembling binders, and printing
• Prepare and file C memoranda
• Conduct eFiling and organize legal research
• Manage trial logistics and work closely with attorneys throughout trial proceedings
• Respond to high-volume emails and prioritize urgent matters
• Draft and finalize shell documents and assist with pleadings

Legal Assistant Requirements:

• 5-10+ years of experience as a Legal Assistant in commercial civil litigation
• Trial experience is a must – must have handled at least two full trials
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience with eFiling platforms
• Ability to work independently and handle shifting priorities under tight deadlines
• Background in high-value, complex litigation preferred
• A team player with a proactive and problem-solving mindset
