A successful boutique law firm based in Woodland Hills, CA is looking to hire an exceptional Litigation Associate Attorney! This opening provides an opportunity to join a dedicated team that values work-life balance and collaboration. The key responsibilities are handling premises liability and insurance defense cases, including legal drafting, e-filing, depositions, mediations, and trial preparation. Salary Range: $140,000 – $180,000 / year DOE

Litigation Associate Attorney Responsibilities:

  • Manage a diverse caseload of 20-50 files, ensuring a balance of straightforward and complex cases
  • Represent clients in premises liability, insurance defense, and litigation matters, including trip/slip-and-fall incidents, third-party assaults, and other disputes
  • Engage in all phases of litigation, including case strategy development, depositions, mediations, trial preparation, and courtroom representation
  • Work collaboratively within a structured team model that includes attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants
  • Build direct relationships with high-profile clients, including self-insured companies and policyholders
  • Leverage opportunities to work on a variety of legal matters beyond core responsibilities, such as transportation, logistics, and business litigation

Litigation Associate Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of litigation experience, specifically in premises liability and insurance defense
  • Employment law preferred
  • A strong willingness to take cases to trial; trial experience is preferred but not mandatory
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities to manage a substantial caseload efficiently
  • High emotional intelligence, coupled with superior verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in legal document management systems, timekeeping tools, and MS Office applications, particularly Word
  • A strategic thinker with a focus on ethical practice, professionalism, and achieving favorable outcomes for clients
