A dynamic boutique law firm in San Diego, CA, is seeking a skilled Employment Attorney with 3-5 years of civil litigation defense experience to join their team. In this role, you will collaborate with partners, associates, and support staff while independently managing 20-25 cases. The firm’s diverse clientele primarily consists of small to medium-sized businesses, offering a unique opportunity to gain exposure to a broad range of employment defense matters. This is an on-site position with the potential for a flexible schedule and excellent growth opportunities within the firm.

Salary Range: $130,000 – $225,000 / year DOE

Employment Attorney Requirements:

• 5 years of Civil Litigation Defense experience
• Must have Personal Injury Litigation, Employment Litigation or Insurance Defense
• Must have Defense experience
• Barred in California
• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited university
• Experience in employment defense is highly preferred
• Must be proactive and self-sufficient
• Passionate about the legal profession and open to feedback for growth

Employment Attorney Responsibilities:

• Manage a diverse caseload of 20-25 employment defense cases
• Meet the monthly billing requirement of 160 hours
• Handle cases from inception through trial, including trial preparation
• Participate in mediations and depositions
• Conduct legal research and draft case documents
• Provide exceptional service to clients, maintaining strong professional relationships
