Workers Comp Attorney
Job Description
A premier law firm in Chicago, IL renowned for its exceptional legal services in workers comp, personal injury and medical malpractice is searching for a motivated Workers Comp Attorney. They are looking for attorneys with 1-20 years of experience to manage a significant caseload. The firm has a top reputation in their area, a clear pathway to partnership and a supportive atmosphere where they are focused on making a real difference in the community and lives of their clients.
Pay Range: $80,000 - $200,000 DOE
Responsibilities:
- Efficiently handle a caseload ranging from 250 to 500 cases
- Engage directly with clients to provide expert legal advice
- Draft legal documents, opinions, conduct negotiations
- Represent clients in hearings and motions, demonstrating strong advocacy and legal strategy skills
- Work closely with legal assistants and support staff to prepare and manage cases
Requirements:
- A Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
- An active member of the Illinois Bar
- 1-20 years of experience in Workers' Compensation law. Candidates with Plaintiff Personal Injury backgrounds may also be considered
- Spanish language proficiency is a plus
- Strong skills in MS Office and familiarity with case management systems, particularly Litify
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
