Remote Utility Accountant
Job Description
A growing property management company in Dallas, TX has an exciting opportunity for a Utility Accountant to join their team in a remote position based out of Texas! This is a 3-6 month temporary position that has a strong potential to turn into a permanent role. They are looking for someone with an accounting background who has a strong understanding of the nuances of the deregulated gas and electricity markets in Texas. You will be primarily responsible for managing and processing bills and invoices, while clarifying charges for tenants.

Pay Range: $45,000 - $65,000 DOE
Responsibilities:
- Navigate and manage the deregulated gas and electricity markets in Texas
- Handle utility billing and invoice management for over 100 properties
- Clarify charges and liaise with utility companies and tenants
- Support general accounting tasks as necessary
Requirements:
- Minimum 5+ years of general accounting experience or 2-3 years in utilities accounting
- Deep understanding of the Texas utility market
- Experience with PropertyWare is preferred
- BA degree is preferred
- Strong communication skills and adaptability
- Results-oriented and committed to excellence
