REMOTE - Must be CA based
A family-owned and high quality probate, estate, trust and elder litigation law firm in Newport Beach, CA is searching for a talented Trust and Estate Litigation Paralegal to join their team! They are looking for a highly motivated paralegal with at least 5 years of trust and estate litigation experience who can manage a strong caseload with minimal support. Salary Range: $25 - $60 / hour DOE
Trust and Estate Litigation Paralegal Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in Trust and Estate Litigation as a Paralegal
- Proven trial preparation experience
- Strong technical skills, especially in Excel, e-filing, and Adobe Acrobat
- Experience in Probate Administration is preferred
- Paralegal certificate is preferred
- Effective verbal and written communication with clients and team members
- Attention to detail in proofreading, formatting, and document preparation
- Efficiently manage multiple cases and deadlines, crucial for remote or hybrid work
- Highly organized in managing case files, documents, and trial preparations
- Flexible and able to adjust to changing priorities and workflows
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding client information and legal matters
Trust and Estate Litigation Paralegal Responsibilities:
- Manage an average caseload of about 30 cases
- Ensure adherence to all case deadlines and maintain comprehensive case status updates
- Perform calendaring, formatting, proofreading, and document preparation for e-filing
- General document filing and trial preparation, including exhibits and compilation
- Draft motions and prepare for mediation and deposition
- Utilize various software systems including Clio, Law Madix, and e-discovery software
- Engage in trial preparation, from exhibit organization to compiling documentation
