Traveling Licensed Journeyman Electrician (Arkansas)
Job Description
A general contractor and engineering company specializing in telecommunications infrastructure is searching for a Traveling Licensed Journeyman Electrician to oversee their projects in Arkansas! They are looking for a licensed journeyman with at least 2 years of experience performing industrial electrical work to oversee and guide apprentices both virtually and onsite, primarily in the telecommunications sector. This is a travel-intensive, remote position based in Little Rock, AR involving stays ranging from days to weeks at a time. This is the perfect role for an experienced industrial electrician who is ready to step into a supervisory role giving you the chance to combine your expertise in industrial electrical work with the leadership qualities required to guide and mentor apprentices on various projects in the innovative telecommunications industry! Pay Range: $32 - $42/hr DOE
Responsibilities:
- Engage in extensive travel up to 75% of the time, primarily within Arkansas with durations varying from days to weeks
- Exhibit flexibility with fluctuating travel schedules, including potential 2-week on/off rotations or some variation thereof
- Oversee the work of 3 apprentices per site, ensuring adherence to standards and project goals
- Provide hands-on instruction and guidance for new tasks and procedures to apprentices
- Focus on industrial construction projects, particularly related to telecommunications towers
- Conduct maintenance on electrical equipment, ensuring operational efficiency and safety
- Lead virtual oversight sessions, remotely guiding and assessing the work of teams to ensure quality and progress
Requirements:
- Valid Journeyman Electrician License in the state of Arkansas
- A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in industrial electrical work, demonstrating a broad range of skills in electrical installations and maintenance
- Flexibility and adaptability to the demands of heavy travel and project schedules
- Strong leadership and teaching abilities, capable of effectively managing and instructing apprentice electricians in electrical work and safety
- Good communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with team members, management, and clients
- Experience in generator or solar industry is a plus
- Licensed as an electrician in multiple states is a plus
- Must live in Little Rock, AR
