Technical Sales Engineer
Job Description
A machinery manufacturing company in the US is seeking a highly motivated Technical Sales Engineer with 1-2 years of experience to join their company. As a Technical Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for prospecting and generating new leads by cold calling and cold emailing potential clients. You will work closely with clients to identify their needs, recommend the best products and travel to their location to meet with engineers in person. In this role, finding new clients is important so the ideal candidate will be comfortable with BDM work and cold outreach.
This exciting opportunity is remote, with travel involved 80% of the time and it has a high potential for large sales commissions.
Pay Range: $65,000 - $85,000 DOE
Responsibilities:
- Prospect and research potential clients in the automotive industry
- Cold call and cold email potential clients to generate new leads
- Fly to clients’ locations to meet engineers in person and discuss how the products can benefit their manufacturing process
- Communicate with clients about available products
- Consult with clients to identify their needs and recommend the best products for them
- Work with sales assistant to prepare and send 40-page contract/proposal
- Schedule follow-up meetings to present proposals to clients and go into detail with them
- Work with customers and team on legal terms and involve legal team to make necessary changes
- Manage about 20 clients at a time and find new clients to bring in
- Travel up to 80% of the time to different clients within the USA
- Experience in manufacturing or engineering is required
- HS Diploma
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Powerpoint
- Bilingual English/German is highly preferred
