This role offers the unique opportunity to work closely with high-net-worth individuals and small business clients, providing expert tax preparation, strategic planning, and year-round advisory services. Ideal candidates will excel at corporate and individual tax preparation, client communication, and high-level operational oversight. Tax Manager Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review corporate and individual tax returns for high-net-worth individuals and small business clients
- Provide comprehensive tax planning and year-round advisory services to optimize client outcomes
- Handle IRS notices and communicate directly with the IRS on behalf of clients
- Deliver exceptional client service by maintaining regular communication and addressing tax-related needs
- Assist in identifying and recommending wealth management solutions in collaboration with the internal team
- Contribute to high-level operational efficiency by generating reports and analyzing business retention and growth metrics
- Mentor and train junior team members to support their professional development
- Participate in team meetings to discuss client success, operational strategies, and firm growth initiatives
Tax Manager Requirements:
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in a client-facing tax preparation role
- Expertise in preparing both corporate and individual tax returns
- Strong experience with small business tax preparation, including S Corp and C Corp filings
- Licensed CPA or Enrolled Agent
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex tax concepts to clients clearly
- Entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to work autonomously while contributing to a collaborative team environment
