Tax Associate Supervisor

A leading, full-service accounting firm in Woodland Hills, CA is actively seeking a Tax Associate Supervisor to join them in a remote/hybrid position!  This is a chance to work for the largest accounting firm the Los Angeles and San Fernando Valley area who provides services for a client base spanning from startups, midsize enterprises, entrepreneurs and high net-worth individuals.  They are looking for someone with at least 3 years of income tax experience and 2 years of public accounting to prepare and file tax returns, manage budgets, collaborate with team members/clients and conduct research on tax issues.

Pay Range: $80,000 - $150,000 DOE
 
Responsibilities:

• Prepare and file tax returns and associated work papers for clients, covering a range of entities such as S-corps, C-corps, and high net-worth individuals
• Monitor budgets and progress, providing regular updates to team members
• Engage in direct communication with partners, managers, and clients to address and resolve tax and accounting-related matters
• Conduct in-depth research and analysis of complex tax issues to provide accurate and effective solutions for clients
• Review financial records, expenses, and income statements to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Consult with clients, explaining tax information to assist with tax audits and addressing client inquiries and concerns
• Act as a strong communicator, maintaining professionalism and articulation while collaborating with clients on a daily basis
• Uphold the firm's culture of excellence and teamwork through organized, motivated, and detail-oriented work

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or business is required
• A minimum of 3 years of income tax return experience and 2 years of public accounting experience
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work well under multiple managers with varying communication styles
• Detail-oriented, organized, motivated, ambitious, and driven
• CPA license or completion of the CPA exam is preferred
• Experience working with high net-worth individuals and complex tax filings is preferred
• If remote, candidates must be able to attend meetings in office 1-2x per quarter – residents of Los Angeles area with the ability to work onsite 1-2 days per week in a hybrid position is ideal
