Talent Acquisition Specialist
Job Description
An innovative telecommunications company in Carol Stream, IL is searching for a proactive and ambitious Talent Acquisition Specialist to join their team! They are looking for someone with at least 2 years of recruiting experience, preferably in construction or industrial staffing to manage the full recruitment cycle for various positions across the company. The role requires strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and a friendly, self-driven personality. You'll work alongside a team of skilled professionals within a collaborative and supportive culture at an innovative company that is making a big impact in upgrading the telecommunications sector. Talent Acquisition Specialist Requirements:
- 2+ years of Talent Acquisition experience, preferably in construction/industrial staffing
- Strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and a friendly, self-driven personality
- Supervisory responsibilities and the ability to work with diverse groups of important external and internal contacts at all levels of the organization
- Independent judgment to plan, prioritize, and organize a diversified workload, recommending changes in office practices or procedures
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, along with collaboration skills
- Proficient in computer skills such as Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Recruiting skills in HR and other relevant areas
- Experience with Jobvite ATS and headhunting platforms preferred
- Bachelor s degree in a related field is a plus
Talent Acquisition Specialist Responsibilities:
- Identify, screen, and build lasting relationships with potential employees
- Conduct 20+ phone screens per day for open positions
- Hire 1-2 candidates per week, approximately 8 per month
- Utilize Jobvite for ATS management
- Headhunt using various platforms, including Indeed, ZipRecruiter, and LinkedIn
- Attend career fairs as needed (up to 15%, primarily in-state)
- Accurately maintain potential employee files (resumes, notes, etc.)
- Understand company and department requirements and recruit employees accordingly
- Perform in-depth interviews and negotiate rates and employment terms
- Walk new employees through the hiring process from screening call to handoff to HR department
- Work with HR department for onboarding
- Utilize social media, networking, referrals, and Boolean searches to build a pipeline of appropriate candidates
- Follow standard, documented policies and procedures for all recruiting activities
- Collaborate with management to enhance recruiting efforts
