Survey Project Manager
Job Description
A general civil engineering firm in Roseville, CA is seeking a Survey Project Manager to oversee and manage surveying projects from inception to completion. This role involves coordinating survey teams, ensuring project adherence to budget and timelines, and maintaining high-quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and technical expertise in surveying methodologies and civil engineering principles. Salary Range: $140,000 - $170,000 / year DOE
Survey Project Manager Requirements:
- Licensed Professional Land Surveyor (PLS)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in surveying
- Proficiency in legal descriptions, ALTA surveys, boundary surveys, tentative maps, parcel maps, and final maps
- Experience working on projects within Sacramento County jurisdictions
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work onsite 100% at their office in Roseville, CA
Survey Project Manager Responsibilities:
- Oversee surveying operations, including budgeting, scheduling, and directing staff
- Coordinate and distribute workload within the survey department
- Prepare project proposals and manage project responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain project budgets and productivity
- Develop and implement departmental standards and improvements
- Train and develop new surveyors
- Perform and oversee complex survey computations and assignments
- Ensure timely document delivery and maintain project status
- Coordinate construction staking schedules with contractors
- Prepare and review plats, legal descriptions, and various maps
- Maintain filing systems and analyze title reports
- Perform boundary analysis and resolution
