Job Description

A general civil engineering firm in Roseville, CA is seeking a Survey Project Manager to oversee and manage surveying projects from inception to completion. This role involves coordinating survey teams, ensuring project adherence to budget and timelines, and maintaining high-quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and technical expertise in surveying methodologies and civil engineering principles. Salary Range: $140,000 - $170,000 / year DOE

Survey Project Manager Requirements:

  • Licensed Professional Land Surveyor (PLS)
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in surveying
  • Proficiency in legal descriptions, ALTA surveys, boundary surveys, tentative maps, parcel maps, and final maps
  • Experience working on projects within Sacramento County jurisdictions
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work onsite 100% at their office in Roseville, CA

Survey Project Manager Responsibilities:

  • Oversee surveying operations, including budgeting, scheduling, and directing staff
  • Coordinate and distribute workload within the survey department
  • Prepare project proposals and manage project responsibilities
  • Monitor and maintain project budgets and productivity
  • Develop and implement departmental standards and improvements
  • Train and develop new surveyors
  • Perform and oversee complex survey computations and assignments
  • Ensure timely document delivery and maintain project status
  • Coordinate construction staking schedules with contractors
  • Prepare and review plats, legal descriptions, and various maps
  • Maintain filing systems and analyze title reports
  • Perform boundary analysis and resolution
