Job Description


Our client is seeking a Senior Firm Administrator/Director of HR to join their team in San Diego, CA. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing HR operations and creating a positive culture throughout our multiple locations. This is a hybrid position, starting with 3-4 days in the office and working down to 1-2 days in the office. The Director of HR will report directly to the COO and manage a team of HR professionals. 
 
Pay Range:$160,000 - $185,000 DOE 
 
Responsibilities: 
  • Manage HR operations, including benefits, employment law compliance, and policy creation 
  • Create and execute strategies to improve employee relations, increase employee morale, and streamline processes 
  • Visit the four offices to meet the Managing Partners and put together a plan 
  • Create a firm-wide culture across all locations 
  • Manage a team of HR professionals 
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations 
  • Conduct salary evaluations to keep the team's compensation in line with the market 
 
Requirements: 
  • At least 5 years of experience as a Director of HR at a law firm or similar company 
  • PHR or SHRM certification 
  • Experience with policy creation and compliance 
  • Must have law firm experience or equivalent 
  • Knowledge of employment laws and regulations 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Tech-savvy with knowledge of Paycom and Microsoft Suite 
  • Flexibility in terms of work hours 
  • Degree preferred but the experience is also acceptable
