Hotel Sous-chef
Job Description
A beautiful 4-star boutique hotel in St. Louis, MO is seeking a Sous-chef to oversee and execute their delicious, established menus! They are looking for someone with at least 3 years of experience as a sous-chef in the hotel restaurant industry. If you have a passion for culinary arts, this is a great opportunity for you. The position comes with the exciting potential to advance into an executive chef role, while working for a unique and high-tech hotel that offers excellent benefits, and a supportive work environment!
Pay Range: $60,000 - $65,000 DOE
Responsibilities:
- Directing, prepping, and executing all menu items
- Being involved in planning and pricing menu items
- Assisting in hiring new line cooks and ordering supplies
- Maintaining records and ensuring equipment and facility cleanliness
- Developing recipes and menus, considering seasonal ingredients and customer volume
Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED
- Minimum of 3-4 years experience as a Sous-chef
- Experience in a hotel restaurant is a must
- Certification from a credited Culinary Institute is preferred
- Proficiency in inventory controls
