Salary Range: $140,000 - $170,000 / year DOE
Software Development Manager Requirements:
- Proven management experience with teams of 4 or more for at least 3 years
- Expertise in JavaScript, TypeScript, SQL, and React Framework, including strong SQL querying skills
- Solid understanding of object-oriented software principles and experience with markup and scripting languages like XML, HTML, and CSS
- 2-3+ years of software development experience and familiarity with MVC or MVVM frameworks
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
- Preferred: Experience in the pharmaceutical industry, GXP validation, or enterprise system implementation
Software Development Manager Responsibilities:
- Manage and mentor a team of 6 developers and engineers, overseeing daily operations and long-term growth
- Lead the design, architecture, and implementation of new software applications and infrastructure pilots
- Oversee the development and operation of the Orbit application, including client discovery, release management, and infrastructure design
- Conduct code reviews, assign issues, and review technical designs to ensure quality and efficiency
- Collaborate with pharmaceutical clients in-person and virtually, traveling occasionally for demos and meetings
- Handle hiring, feedback, improvement plans, and other team management duties
