Senior Staff Accountant
Job Description
A leading engineering and architecture firm in Klamath Falls, Oregon is searching for a Senior Staff Accountant or Controller to join their team! This role is perfect for someone with a solid accounting background, who is ready to support key functions within the organization, including IT, HR, and Finance. The firm is known for its community-oriented and social work culture, offering unique team-building activities such as group lunches, walks, and various team events that foster a positive and healthy work environment!
Pay Range: $70, 000 - $90, 000 DOE
Responsibilities:
- Support the CFO in managing IT, HR, and Finance functions
- Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Oversee the accounts payable and receivable, and monitor data for discrepancies
- Manage payroll processing, including overseeing the payroll clerk
- Perform journal entries and ensure the general ledger is up to date
- Participate in and support various accounting projects and initiatives
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred;however, equivalent experience will be considered
- Must understand financial statements and general ledger
- Proficiency in ADP and familiarity with Deltek are advantageous
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record for the past 2 years
- Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Management experience is a plus, but not required
- HR exposure or familiarity with benefits is a plus, but not required
