Job Description
A rapidly growing, highly respected probate, estate, trust, and elder litigation law firm based in Irvine, CA is seeking a dynamic and motivated Senior Probate Litigation Associate to join their team. This role is perfect for an attorney with 5+ years of experience in probate and trust litigation who thrives in managing a full caseload independently and is looking to grow within a forward-thinking firm. Salary Range: $200,000 - $300,000 / year DOE + bonus structure
Senior Probate Litigation Associate Requirements:
- 5+ years of litigation experience in probate, trust, and estate law - 10+ years is preferred
- Proven ability to manage probate and trust litigation cases from start to finish
- California Bar license is required
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree
- Trial experience, including in-person probate court appearances
- Strong legal writing and communication skills
- Experience in drafting petitions for probate and law in motion
- Proficient in using Adobe, Microsoft Word, and office management software like Cleo or Law Madix
- Ability to work independently with minimal support
Senior Probate Litigation Associate Responsibilities:
- Manage a full caseload of probate, trust, and estate litigation matters
- Handle cases from initial filing through to resolution, including court appearances
- Develop case strategy and oversee all aspects of litigation
- Draft high-level legal documents, including motions and petitions
- Conduct depositions, engage in discovery, and law in motion
- Collaborate with partners and support staff to ensure high-quality case management
- Engage with clients, offering updates and clear communication throughout the process
- Attend trials and present cases in probate court
