Job Description
A leading nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the quality of education in schools is searching for a dedicated and detail-oriented Senior Executive Assistant to join their team in Scottsdale, AZ! This role involves supporting the CEO and leadership team in strategic planning, project management, and operational execution to provide valuable assistance to educators and partners. They are looking for qualified candidates with at least 5 years of experience in a similar role, supporting C-suite executives or high-level officials, and who are committed to the organization s mission.

Senior Executive Assistant Responsibilities:
- Coordinate organization-wide planning processes, including annual goal setting, initiative development, and project planning with the CEO
- Prepare weekly leadership and senior meetings, track progress toward annual goals, and support the leadership team in analyzing and communicating progress
- Coordinate planning and preparation for CEO travel and Board meetings
- Ensure effective execution of all projects in the Office of the CEO
- Assist in managing the Executive Assistant to the CEO
- Manage scheduling and coordinating of Leadership Team meetings
- Support planning and materials development for all leadership meetings, annual retreats, and quarterly step-back meetings
- Follow-up on communication and ensure strong operational preparation
- Support CEO and senior leaders in partnership management
- Draft messaging for partners, manage contacts within key partnerships, and support communication, policy, and research teams in disseminating materials
Senior Executive Assistant Requirements:
- M.A. required (BA considered with exceptional experience)
- 5+ years of prior work experience in a similar role
- Must have supported a C-suite executive or Dean, Superintendent, or Government Official
- Experience with MS Office, Canva, Adobe Cloud, Photoshop, InDesign (Salesforce experience is a plus)
- Background in education such as work in Education Policy, Research, a BA/MA/PHD in Education Policy, Teaching
- Strong communication skills, organizational abilities, and agility in managing multiple projects
- Prior experience working in an education-focused non-profit organization is preferred
- Prior experience working on a leadership team is preferred
- Prior teaching experience is preferred
