Job Description


A modern accounting firm in Hunt Valley, MD is searching for a Senior Auditor to join their team! They are looking for an analytical problem solver with at least 2 years of auditing experience who works well in a team to conduct financial statement audits, manage client engagements, and ensure compliance with industry standards. Pay Range: $80, 000 - $100, 000 DOE

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct financial statement audits, including testing AR, cash, and financial reports
  • Manage a variety of client engagements, specializing in non-profit, construction, and real estate industries
  • Coordinate audit schedules and client interactions, collecting necessary documents for thorough assessments
  • Lead audit teams and oversee audit processes to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards
  • Utilize PPC and Thompsons Advance slow systems for efficient audit management
  • Engage in client interactions and maintain professional relationships to facilitate effective communication and project execution
  • Perform audits for distribution companies, real estate firms, non-profit organizations, franchises, schools, unions, and other entities
  • Travel locally (up to 30%) for in-person audits, primarily day trips to client sites
  • Contribute to the overall success and growth of the firm through high-quality audit work and collaboration with colleagues

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in financial statement audits and public accounting
  • Strong understanding of audit processes, including testing AR, cash, and financial reports
  • CPA certification preferred, or willingness to pursue certification
  • Experience with PPC and Thomson Reuters AdvanceFlow systems preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members
  • Detail-oriented approach with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Stable transportation for local travel to client sites
  • Previous experience in a small to mid-size firm preferred, where versatility and adaptability are key
  • Commitment to professional growth and development within the company
