Job Description


A successful real estate brokerage located in Calabasas, CA is seeking a Senior Accounting Manager to join their team. This firm specializes in investment sales, financing, research, and advisory sales throughout the United States.

The ideal candidate must have public and private accounting experience and top-notch organizational and communication skills. The Senior Accounting Manager is responsible for leading the month-end closing. 

Pay Range: $125,000 - $135,000 DOE
 
Responsibilities:
  • Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities
  • Review and approve monthly manual journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Supervise, train, develop and mentor accounting team members
  • Prepare cashflow statement and cashflow forecast of the company
  • Review payment requests from the AP team
  • Assist the SEC reporting team by preparing a draft balance sheet, income statement, and equity statement
  • Review and reconcile SEC filings (10-Q/10-K) with support documents
  • Participate and coordinate the completion of portions of the annual operating budget
  • Support internal and external audits, including SOX compliance
  • Contribute to enabling efficiencies through simplification of the reporting structure and rationalization of the chart of accounts


Requirements:
  • CPA designation required
  • Public & Private accounting experience
  • 8+ years of experience in Accounting, Finance or Reporting
  • Experience in SAP a plus
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Experience leading a team is preferred
