We are seeking an ambitious and polished Senior Accountant to manage all aspects of our company s financials. This position reports directly to the CFO and has the unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on an industry-leading and fast-growing company! Position: Senior Accountant
Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage comprehensive financial plans, budgets, forecasts, and statements to guide strategic decisions and ensure compliance
- Oversee and streamline accounts payable, receivable, commission calculations, and general ledger activities for optimal financial operations
- Coordinate tax planning and compliance, facilitate timely tax and payroll filings, and manage annual audits to meet financial regulations
- Establish and maintain robust financial systems and controls to protect assets and ensure accurate data
- Conduct month-end and year-end closings, P&L and multistate accounting, and detailed financial analysis of operating expenses
- Support audit processes, enhance financial procedures, and ensure accurate reconciliation of financial records
- Correct discrepancies in financial entries, review accounts payable, and manage bank and account reconciliations
- Handle special projects and provide ad-hoc analysis as required
- Perform bookkeeping activities, ensuring precise financial record keeping and compliance with legal and organizational standards
Requirements:
- Bachelor s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or MBA is preferred
- 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance roles, with a focus on financial management and analysis
- Experience in the staffing or professional services industry is preferred
- Strong knowledge of GAAP principles, financial reporting standards, and tax regulations
- Tech-savvy and proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Salesforce, Netsuite) and Microsoft Excel Netsuite experience is a MUST
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally between departments
- Exceptional attention to detail and time management skills
- Must be polished and professional
- Self-motivated, passionate, and hungry to make a big impact
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast pace and quick-moving environment
- Candidate must sit onsite in San Diego, CA with the potential for a hybrid work arrangement after initial training period
