Senior Accountant
Job Description
An innovative contractor in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Senior Accountant! This role centers on managing full-cycle accounting with a focus on AIA billing and reporting to ensure accuracy and efficiency in high-volume invoicing. They are looking for a team player who knows AIA billing with at least 3 years of experience in construction accounting. The company is in a fun and unique industry with a family-like atmosphere that values teamwork, innovation, and a balanced approach to work and life.
Pay Range: $75,000 - $90,000 DOE
Responsibilities:
- Handle full-cycle accounting responsibilities with a strong focus on AIA billing
- Process up to 100 invoices per month for projects ranging in size
- Assist with payroll and provide backup for other team members
- Train new hires in accounting practices and systems
- Utilize ERP/accounting systems and Excel to perform journal entries, debits/credits, and other accounting tasks
Requirements:
- 3+ years of relevant accounting experience, with a solid understanding of AIA billing and other processes specific to the construction industry
- Bachelor s degree in Accounting or a related field
- Proficiency in ERP/accounting systems, Excel (including formulas), and Word
- Strategic thinking with excellent planning and time management skills
- A willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and technologies
- Knowledge of ViewPoint Pro Contractor is a plus
- Strong communication skills, capable of handling high volume and meeting deadlines efficiently
- Team player attitude with a willingness to train new hires and provide extra support where needed
