Senior Accountant
Job Description
A luxury residential real estate and property management firm in Las Vegas, NV is looking to add a Senior Account to their growing accounting department. The Senior Accountant s day-to-day will consist of managing and overseeing various accounting functions, providing financial reporting to various department heads, and offering managerial support to the rest of the accounting team. The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical skills, able to work both independently and collaboratively, and a strong understanding of accounting principles applicable to property management accounting.
Senior Accountant Requirements:
- 5+ years of relevant accounting; property management experience is a must
- Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA certification preferred
- Thorough knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Real Page, cloud-based) and Advanced Microsoft Excel
- Strong financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- High level of integrity and ethical standards
- Prior experience in a leadership role preferred
- The office is in Las Vegas, NV and the position is 100% onsite
Senior Accountant Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review financial statements and consolidated reports
- Oversee month-end and year-end close processes
- Assist in preparing financial reports for internal and external stakeholders
- Analyze financial reports and present findings to management
- Conduct cash flow reviews and manage financial liquidity
- Update fixed asset schedules and depreciation calculations
- Monitor financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement
- Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures, train and support accounting staff
- Assist in budget and forecast preparation
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist in tax filings
