Job Description
A reputable professional services firm in Boca Raton, FL is searching for a Senior Accountant to join their team! They are looking for candidates with a strong background in accounting and financial management, with the ability to manage complex accounting tasks and ensure accurate financial reporting. The role involves overseeing general ledger activities, preparing financial statements, and supporting budgeting and forecasting processes. The position is fully onsite and offers a stable, supportive and hardworking atmosphere with excellent leadership!
Senior Accountant Requirements:
- Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- CPA certification preferred
- 3+ years of experience in accounting, with a focus on financial reporting and analysis
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
Senior Accountant Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee daily accounting operations, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close processes
- Prepare and review financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP
- Coordinate with external auditors during audits and prepare necessary documentation
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, providing variance analysis
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies
- Analyze financial data and provide insights to support business decisions
- Manage payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable functions as needed
- Support the implementation of new accounting systems or processes
- Mentor and guide junior accounting staff
