Senior AR Clerk
Job Description

A well-established freight forwarding and logistics company in Cerritos, CA, is seeking a Senior AR Clerk to join their close-knit team. This is an on-site position offering the opportunity to work in a collaborative and employee-centric environment. The ideal candidate will have strong AR experience, bilingual proficiency in English and Chinese (Mandarin preferred), and the ability to handle some accounts payable duties. This role is critical to ensuring smooth financial operations and requires a candidate who thrives in a fast-paced logistics environment. This position offers an immediate start with hands-on training before the current team member s departure. Salary: $24-30 / hour DOE
Senior AR Clerk Responsibilities:
- Manage the full AR process, including invoicing, collections, account reconciliation, and cash application
- Maintain accurate customer accounts, resolve discrepancies, and handle aging reports
- Communicate with customers in English and Chinese to address payment inquiries and disputes
- Monitor customer credit limits and manage credit risk effectively
- Handle occasional AP responsibilities, including vendor invoices
- Collaborate with internal teams (logistics, sales, and operations) to address payment-related issues
- Ensure compliance with company policies, regulations, and internal controls
- Work with collection agencies when needed
Senior AR Clerk Requirements:
- 2-5 years of AR experience
- Bachelor s degree required
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Chinese (Mandarin preferred; Cantonese acceptable)
- Familiarity with ERP and WMS systems, such as Cargowise, SAP, or Oracle
- Basic knowledge of GAAP
- Intermediate Excel skills
- Strong communication and customer service orientation
- Experience in logistics, transportation, or warehouse industries is a plus
