Our client is seeking a strategic, resourceful, and experienced Sales Manager to join their team. As the Sales Manager, your primary focus is to draw tourism to the area for hotels, restaurants event spaces and the conversation centers. This role primarily offers remote work flexibility, with some required in-person meetings and site visits in the Downtown Atlanta, GA area. If you excel in a fast-paced, diverse sales-oriented environment, then this is the job for you!
Sales Manager Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of convention sales experience
- Proficient with general sales techniques
- Deep understanding of the hospitality and convention industries
- Top-notch communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Proven relationship management and customer service skills
- A team player with the ability to work independently and adapt to various personalities
- Valid driver s license
- Experience in hotel and venue sales preferred
- Knowledge of sales techniques and CRM software preferred
Sales Manager Responsibilities:
- Market the ATL Airport District as a premier meeting and convention destination
- Manage existing accounts and expand the client pipeline through sales calls, emails, and other outreach
- Prepare hotel proposals and bid documents for meeting planners
- Attend trade shows and networking events to generate business
- Coordinate client transitions from sales to services with the Director of Destination Services
- Recommend amenities and incentives to potential clients and provide marketing materials
- Explore emerging markets and stay updated on industry trends
- Travel occasionally for overnight events and be available for non-traditional hours
