Job Description
A fast-growing technology manufacturing company located in Newburyport, MA is seeking a Financial Reporting Manager to join their team! In this newly created role, you will be responsible for all internal and external reporting (including SEC) and for providing technical accounting support to other departments and reporting areas. Pay Range: $120,000 - $135,000 DOE
Responsibilities:
- Prepare SEC filings and documentation (10k, 10Qs, Proxy, etc.)
- Prepare financial statements
- Provide technical accounting support to the department and company
- Manage lease accounting process
- Manage equity process (RSUs, Stock options)
- Oversee Revenue Accounting Manager for deadlines of revenue recognition
- Design and maintain financial reports within internal reporting system
- Participate in month-end close process, quarter-end reviews, and year-end audits
- Support the Corporate Controller in all financial accounting and reporting areas
- Provide guidance on complex GAAP and SEC reporting issues
- Meet tight deadlines and ensure timely completion of tasks
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in public accounting – manufacturing accounting is preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- CPA required
- SEC reporting experience/audit background
- Experience researching and documenting complex for GAAP and SEC reporting
- Proficient in Excel, Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPS
- Experience with lease accounting is preferred
- Experience with Epicor is preferred
- Inventory cost accounting is a plus
- Data savvy and detail-oriented
