Job Description
A well-established construction company in Lorton, VA, is searching for a seasoned and detail-oriented Residential Site Operations Manager to join their team! They are looking for a professional with extensive experience in residential construction management to oversee the coordination and scheduling of residential projects, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. The successful candidate will focus on managing daily operations, preparing schedules, and ensuring that construction plans are followed accurately. This is not a Project Manager role but a position that requires a deep understanding of residential construction to keep projects on track and support the broader construction team. Residential Site Operations Manager Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in residential construction, preferably as a Project Manager, Project Coordinator, or Scheduler
- Strong understanding of construction plans and the ability to communicate effectively using construction terminology
- Proficiency in Excel (formulas) and experience with Adobe or Bluebeam software for takeoffs and measurements
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to adapt to changing situations
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently without needing constant supervision
- Bachelor s degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field is preferred
- Experience in a fast-paced, high-energy work environment is preferred
- Familiarity with residential construction processes and industry standards is preferred
Residential Site Operations Manager Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage residential construction operations, ensuring all projects are completed on schedule and within budget
- Field calls and emails from clients and team members, addressing scheduling needs and project updates
- Coordinate closely with the Residential Superintendent to prepare daily schedules and manage timelines
- Prepare, print, and review construction plans and blueprints to ensure all necessary resources and steps are in place
- Monitor project progress by reviewing daily activities and adjusting schedules as needed to meet project goals
- Manage up to 10-12 residential construction projects simultaneously, ensuring all details are handled efficiently
- Occasionally visit job sites, if necessary, to gather additional information or address any project concerns
- Utilize Excel (formulas), Adobe, or Bluebeam software for scheduling, planning, and project management tasks
