Residential Drafter
Job Description
A modern home remodeling and construction services company in Pacific Beach, CA is searching for a highly skilled Residential Drafter to join their expanding team! They are looking for someone with solid experience in drafting plans for ground-up residential construction projects, ensuring compliance with city codes and regulations. If you have a background in residential construction, are proficient in Revit, and enjoy creating detailed architectural plans, this is the perfect opportunity for you to join a fun company in the heart of PB. Salary Range: $80,000 - $90,000 / year DOE
Residental Drafter Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in residential construction drafting
- Proficiency in Revit is required
- Familiarity with building codes, submittal processes, and city plan submissions
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to clearly express design concepts to clients and team members
- Bachelor s degree in a related field is preferred, but equivalent experience will be considered
- Experience working for a licensed architect is highly desirable
Residential Drafter Responsibilities:
- Develop and draft construction documents for ground-up residential projects and submit them to the city for approval
- Collaborate with the licensed architect to ensure all plans comply with city regulations and building codes
- Create preliminary concepts and plans based on measurements and client consultations
- Occasionally visit job sites to take measurements, ensuring the accuracy of plans
- Effectively communicate with clients, project managers, and city officials to facilitate smooth project execution
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, maintaining an organized workflow and clear communication throughout each project
