Job Description


A healthcare investment company is seeking a Remote Accounting Manager in San Antonio, TX. As a Remote Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining the books of 15-20 companies under the holding company. You will be responsible for financial reporting, forecasting and budgeting, AP/AR, payroll, and tax filings. The successful candidate will have at least 5-7 years of accounting experience, be detail-oriented, and be comfortable working with big dollar amounts. 

The ideal candidate will live near San Antonio and/or live in the CST time zone. Position is 100% remote but will require meeting in person once in a while; in addition, training is in office for the first week. Experience with preparing financial statement packages for multiple companies is also required. 
 
Pay Range:$80,000 - $95,000 DOE 
 
Responsibilities: 
  • Monthly financial reporting and financial analysis 
  • Maintain the books of 15-20 different companies 
  • General ledger management 
  • Journal entries 
  • Moving $50+ million for 5 or so transactions of $20 million 
  • P&Ls 
  • Forecasting and budgeting 
  • Accounts payable and accounts receivable 
  • Help with the backlog of accounting work 
  • Franchise taxes, sales taxes, and make sure everything is buttoned up for the CPA firm 
  • Payroll for the holding company in the future using QuickBooks Online 
  • Work with the broker and the broker gets the bids for benefit renewals and 401k 
  • Yearly inventory taxes as they come about 
 
Requirements: 
  • 5-7+ years of accounting experience 
  • QuickBooks online experience required 
  • Intermediate Excel skills (must-know formulas; knowledge of pivot tables/VLOOKUP's highly preferred) 
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or business preferred 
  • Sage and NetSuite experience preferred 
  • Holding company or multi-entity accounting experience required
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is a huge plus
