Regional Property Manager
Job Description
A boutique real estate management company specializing in affordable housing and large-scale renovations is searching for a dedicated Regional Property Manager to join their team in San Diego! They are looking for a sharp, experienced property manager who is a go-getter, excels at problem-solving on the fly, and can figure things out independently. As Regional Manager, you will oversee a portfolio of 11 affordable housing properties, all located in San Diego County. The role involves extensive travel to various properties about 75% of the time, where you will have the freedom and autonomy to be in charge of your own schedule, working remotely when not conducting site visits. You will also manage 11 direct reports, including property and maintenance managers, ensuring that all the properties meet operational and financial performance standards. Salary Range: $100,000 - $150,000 / year DOE
Regional Property Manager Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in property management, overseeing at least 2-3 sites with 400+ units
- 5+ years of supervisory experience
- HUD and tax credit experience is required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel
- Experience with One-Site by Realpage
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal property regulations
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to manage a flexible schedule and handle after-hours emergencies
- Bachelor's degree is preferred
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus
Regional Property Manager Responsibilities:
- Travel to properties regularly to oversee operations and ensure compliance with budgetary and maintenance standards
- Manage and support a team of property managers and maintenance supervisors
- Develop and implement annual budgets and preventive maintenance plans
- Conduct unit inspections and manage vendor relationships
- Handle legal matters related to non-payment of rent and work with lawyers as needed
- Ensure accurate entry of deposits and assist with invoicing and budget cost reduction
- Maintain compliance with HUD and tax credit regulations
- Collaborate with the client (RAHD Group) to meet their needs and expectations
