Job Description
A thriving accounting firm in Woodbury, NY is searching for a friendly Receptionist to join their team! They are looking for someone tech-savvy, personable, and great on the phone to handle a high volume of phone calls and help provide a warm and welcoming atmosphere for clients. This is a temp-to-hire role that will convert in a month. The office is high energy but relaxed with business casual attire, where they bring in lunch daily during the busy season, have summer half-day Fridays, and a kitchen stocked with snacks for employees! This is a great opportunity for someone looking to work in a vibrant, supportive environment while gaining valuable experience with the potential to advance into an administrative position in the future!
Salary Range: $18 - $20 / hour DOE
Receptionist Requirements:
- 1-2+ years of office/receptionist experience
- Proficient with phone systems
- Tech-savvy: familiar with Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and document management
- Ability to handle the busy nature of tax season professionally and courteously
- Prior experience working in an accounting or tax firm
- Experience using CCH Access or other tax software (training provided)
Receptionist Responsibilities:
- Answer phones, managing a high volume of calls during tax season
- Assist clients in person with a welcoming attitude
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail
- Send packages via FedEx
- Maintain the cleanliness of conference rooms and the kitchen
- Organize files and data in shared drives
- Coordinate office lunch orders
- Support with stocking the kitchen as needed
- Provide additional administrative support as required
