Quality Manager
Job Description

A manufacturing company in Palmdale, CA is seeking a strategic, results-oriented Quality Manager to oversee quality management across their production facilities. This role requires leading a team of quality professionals and collaborating closely with internal and external stakeholders, from suppliers to customers. The ideal candidate is a quality-focused leader with a strong engineering background and experience in quality management within a manufacturing setting. This position offers a pathway for growth as the company expands, with potential opportunities to manage additional facilities in the future.
Salary Range: $150,000 - $180,000 / DOE
Quality Manager Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of quality management in accordance with company standards
- Lead a team of employees across multiple quality functions (IQC, IPQC, FQC, QE, QS)
- Build and maintain quality management systems, integrating processes across supplier, R&D, production, and sales stages
- Drive a culture of quality on the production floor by establishing self-check procedures, reducing rework costs, and fostering ownership of quality and safety
- Collaborate with external and internal stakeholders, including suppliers, customers, and third-party organizations
- Monitor and evaluate quality-related metrics, implementing continuous improvements to enhance product reliability and efficiency
- Periodically travel to supplier sites nationwide to oversee quality compliance and maintain relationships
Quality Manager Requirements:
- Bachelor s degree or higher in Engineering
- 10+ years in a quality management role, required in a manufacturing setting
- Proficiency with Lean Six Sigma and ISO 9001 standards
- Demonstrated experience in leading and mentoring quality teams
- Manufacturing experience
- International experience is a plus but not required
