Project Surveyor
Job Description
A general civil engineering firm in Roseville, CA is seeking a Project Surveyor to support civil engineering projects by providing accurate surveying data and analysis. This position involves collaborating with project teams to ensure precise measurements, site assessments, and compliance with engineering standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills in surveying practices and a keen attention to detail, ensuring the successful execution of projects from inception to completion.
Salary Range: $32 - $55 / hour DOE
Project Surveyor Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in surveying
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Extensive in-office drafting experience
- Strong technical skills in surveying practices
- Keen attention to detail
- Experience with AutoCAD Civil 2D, Microsoft 365, and Uninet is a plus
- Ability to work onsite 100% at their office in Roseville
Project Surveyor Responsibilities:
- Perform surveying assignments and draft deliverables
- Prepare accurate work products and complex survey computations
- Ensure timely document delivery and maintain project status
- Conduct construction staking calculations and analyze survey crew work
- Reduce field data to coordinate geometry and understand field codes
- Prepare cut sheets and interpret design plans for construction staking
- Maintain filing systems and analyze title reports and legal descriptions
- Conduct map and deed research and assist in boundary analysis
- Prepare plats, legal descriptions, and various maps
- Collaborate with the Director of Surveying, Project Managers, Engineers, and Designers
- Review work for completeness and accuracy
- Accurately account for time spent on projects
- Plot maps and assemble sets for submittal
