A construction company in New York is seeking a skilled and adaptable Project Manager to join their high-end retail and restaurant project team. In this onsite role, the Project Manager will handle all aspects of project execution, including budgeting, scheduling, and quality control, while building strong client relationships and ensuring timely completion. Key responsibilities involve overseeing project lifecycles, coordinating with superintendents and subcontractors, and managing project financials. Ideal candidates will have 2-5 years of relevant experience, a background in retail or restaurant construction, and a drive to grow and adapt within a mentorship-focused environment.

Salary Range: $100,000-$150,000 / year DOE

Project Manager Requirements:

  • 2-5 years of project management experience in construction, specifically in high-end retail or restaurant environments
  • Degree in Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field preferred but not required
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to adapt to dynamic work environments
  • Excellent communication skills, with an emphasis on client-facing interactions
  • High emotional intelligence and a collaborative, humble attitude towards learning and growth

Project Manager Responsibilities:

  • Oversee high-end retail and restaurant projects from inception to completion, ensuring quality, timeliness, and budget adherence
  • Manage the full project lifecycle, including budgeting, scheduling, estimating, and client communications
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong client relationships and ensuring satisfaction
  • Coordinate with superintendents and subcontractors to meet project goals and timelines
  • Review and approve estimates, negotiate contracts, and facilitate project buyouts
  • Monitor financial performance of projects, including cost control and reporting
  • Travel approximately 25% to project sites across the U.S., managing travel arrangements within budget
