Project Manager
Job Description
A leading trade show booth design company in Dallas, TX is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their project management team! This role involves planning, executing and overseeing every aspect of custom trade show booth projects from concept to completion. Collaborating closely with clients, production staff, and external vendors, you'll ensure project success at every stage. They are looking for a strong leader with a background in project management, particularly in the design and build industry, who can inspire collaboration within the team and demonstrate exceptional follow-through. Project Manager Requirements:
- 2+ years of Project Management experience in the exhibit/trade show industry
- 5+ years total work experience in exhibit/trade show industry
- Bachelor's degree is preferred Project Management Professional PMP certification is a plus
- Strong familiarity with MS Office and project management software, preferably Exhibit Force
- Demonstrated ability to lead and guide a team, setting clear goals and motivating team members to achieve them
- Excellent communication skills for effective dialogue with stakeholders, team members, and clients
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines, maintaining high standards of quality and organization
- Comfortable working independently without constant oversight, capable of making informed decisions to drive project success
- Flexible approach to work, able to adapt to dynamic project requirements and varying workload during different seasons
- Willingness to travel approximately 25% of the time, with potential increases during peak seasons
Project Manager Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, and execute every aspect of projects for trade shows or events, while maintaining project-related tracking documents and communicating changes to the internal team or external vendors
- Create and implement project schedules, manage multiple project plans, and ensure all deadlines are met
- Guide and ensure consistency of client vision with line drawings and color renderings for each project
- Work within Exhibit Force to track the progress and manage the details of each specific project
- Lead, manage, and supervise at the show site, providing direction to contractors and vendors
- Maintain or improve estimated gross margins by documenting add-ons or overages for billing by the account manager
- Create QC books for all projects, ensure proper packing of projects, work with the Shipping department on piece count and deadlines, and ensure all materials and hardware are prepared for each project
- Update any changes or corrections on setup prints, send schedule updates and pictures to relevant stakeholders for all projects that week, and meet with the supervisor to review job/project details
- Ensure all necessary resources (furniture, TVs, cleaning supplies, hardware) are available for the job/project and purchase items as needed for each project
